4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July this year! We had a big BBQ at Justin's aunt's house with about 30 people. Before everyone came over Brennan went swimming in the kiddie pool while it was pretty nice outside. Then out of nowhere came the biggest hail storm I've seen since moving to Idaho. It's weird because it probably rained at least 20 days out of June and as soon as it left, it came back 10 times worse of 4th of July. Idaho weather is so crappy and unpredictable! The streets flooded and the ground was covered in ice for about an hour and a half and then it just ended. The sky cleared and we got ready for fireworks. Luckily, we live just up the street from the fairgrounds where they do the Pocatello firework show, so we were able to set up chairs on the front lawn and watch at our house. Brennan loved watching fireworks... it was his first time seeing them.

Grandma's House...

Yesterday we drove down to Herriman to go to my mom's/Grandma's house. Brennan and his Grandma were really missing each other so it was time for a visit. We had fun visiting the fam and hanging out at her new home. Brennan had lots of fun... he got to take a bubble bath in Grandma's big bath tub and eat ice cream with Sam. Although I think Samantha was more excited about the ice cream.

Disc Golf...

So recently I've gotten into a new hobby... disc golf. Justin has played for a while and I always thought it seemed pretty lame. It's pretty much frisbee and golf combined, except you play with a slightly smaller and heavier frisbee called a a disc and you aim into metal baskets. Once we moved to Idaho, Justin found some courses and started playing almost daily. After a while, I decided to go with him to see what it was all about. I played and actually had a lot of fun. So lately, we've been playing a lot of disc golf. The courses are usually within parks so we take Brennan and when we're done playing, we take Brennan to go play on the playground. So now we have a family activity that we all have fun doing and best of all, it's free!

Our Day at the ZOO...

Yesterday we decided to take a little family trip to Idaho Falls to go to the zoo. It was Brennan's first time visiting a zoo and he loved it. He really likes animals. His favorites were for sure the monkeys and the goats. He ran up and down the halls of the monkey building running up to all of the windows and laughing and trying to touch the monkeys through the glass. When we got around to the goats he got to feed them, which he loved. He was able to actually touch the goats and feed them out of his hand. He laughed the whole time because the goats' mouths tickled him. We also saw lots of other animals including a brand new baby camel which was really cute. The zoo was definitely much smaller than the zoos I've been to before, but it was what Idaho had to offer and Brennan didn't know any better anyways. As we left, Brennan picked out a monkey stuffed animal from the gift shop to take home with him. Overall, it was a fun day.

New Brennan pics...

Yesterday we had a little Gibson family BBQ. Brennan had a lot of fun playing with his Idaho cousins. Everywhere Hailey and Jimmy went, Brennan followed. The two took turns pushing Brennan in the swingset, which he loves. Here's a few pics...

Idaho.......

So we've been in Idaho for one week as of today. It's very different from the Bay Area (the coolest place in the world) but I guess it's better than Utah (the lamest place in the world.) I don't really know what to write here right now. So I'll add more stuff later. Just wanted to get this blog started...
